NOTICE OF ELECTION

CITY OF OILTON, OKLAHOMA

A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR AN ELECTION TO APPROVE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 2, CHAPTER 3, SECTIONS 2-301 AND 2-302 OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF OILTON, PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF THE CITY CLERK AND CITY TREASURER BY THE MAYOR WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE CITY COUNCIL.

BE IT RESOLVED by the governing body of the City of Oilton, Oklahoma, that a special election be held in the City of Oilton, Oklahoma, on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, for the purpose of submitting to the registered, qualified voters thereof, for approval, the following proposition:

SHALL THE CLERK OF THE CITY OF OILTON, OKLAHOMA BE APPOINTED BY THE MAYOR, WITH APPROVAL OF THE COUNCIL.

(           )           NO

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the governing body of the City of Oilton, Oklahoma, that a special election be held in the City of Oilton, Oklahoma, on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, for the purpose of submitting to the registered, qualified voters thereof, for approval, the following proposition:

SHALL THE TREASURER OF THE CITY OF OILTON, OKLAHOMA BE APPOINTED BY THE MAYOR, WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE COUNCIL.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that absentee ballots will be provided in accordance with State Law.  

ADOPTED this 8^TH day of December, 2020, at a regularly scheduled meeting of the City Council of the City of Oilton, in compliance with the Open Meeting Act, 25 O.S. Section 301, et seq.
